Bethan Wolfenden from Bento Lab, the first complete DNA laboratory that is suitable for beginners to professionals, visited us to share their vision to build a diverse community around inclusive and accessible molecular biology with their portable bento bio lab.

The workshop focused on how to extract DNA from fruits in a DIY manner and how to prepare DNA to analyze and visualize different genetic information.

Followed by a talk about their Igem project plastic republic in 2012.
